UPC targets SMEs with new bundled packages

11 Dec 2007

UPC Business, part of UPC Ireland (formerly ntl Ireland & Chorus), has launched a new range of small business broadband packages which come bundled with voice telephony, hosting and e-mail from EUR49 per month (USD71.9). Available in Dublin, Galway, Cork and Waterford at launch, the new product is claimed to offer an annual saving of up to EUR1,200 compared to similar products offered by the likes of eircom. UPC’s new SME packages include a high speed internet access with speeds ranging from 2Mbps to 6Mbps, plus bundled telephony and value added services (VAS) such as static IP support, hosted storage and secured e-mail services tailored for SMEs.

The cableco plans to expand the service to Limerick, Cork, Kildare, Athlone, Portlaoise, Carlow and Kilkenny in early 2008 and says it has invested more than EUR300 million in laying the foundations of its next generation networks to support the launch of such services.
