Magnet rolls out attractive 12Mbps service

6 Dec 2007

Magnet Networks has revealed it is rolling out a new contention-free 12Mbps high speed internet service for businesses in the main commercial districts of Dublin, Limeric, Galway, Waterford and Portlaoise. According to online news service Silicon Republic, the service will be priced at EUR175 per month (USD258) – EUR10 more than the 10Mbps service the telco unveiled last month. Magnet has invested EUR65 million in its network rollout to date, and claims to be offering the fastest business broadband service in Ireland. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database, Magnet had a 3% share of the country’s broadband market at the end of June 2007.
