Analogue wireless firm awarded CDMA450 licence

6 Dec 2007

The Bulgarian Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) has awarded a CDMA450 licence to Radiotelecommunication Company (RTC), the analogue wireless arm of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC), writes Dnevnik a.m. While BTC has confirmed that the licence has been amended, it has not disclosed the intended use of the new concession nor committed to any timeframe for its deployment. It is thought likely however, that the telco will use the upgraded network to provide fixed wireless services.
