Regulator scrutinises PTM offer

5 Dec 2007

Portugal’s telecoms watchdog Anacom is studying a new wireline offer by cable TV operator PT Multimedia (PTM) to check that it complies with competition and pricing regulations. According to a report from Thomson Financial, Anacom is analysing the technical conditions of the offer as if PTM were still a division of former parent company Portugal Telecom (PT); PTM was spun off from PT last month, but the regulator says conditions placed on PT will still apply to PTM until a new market analysis has been completed.
