Motive Inc wins E-care contract from major Dutch cableco

5 Dec 2007

Motive Inc, a leading developer of management software for broadband and mobile data services, has won a contract to provide a suite of E-care solutions to the newly-formed cable TV operation of Zesko Holdings, a merger of Dutch CATV operators – Casema, Multikabel and @Home (formerly Essent Kabelcom). The three cablcos were purchased by private equity firms Warburg Pincus and Cinven and amalgamated to deliver triple-play TV, broadband internet access and voice telephony services to more than 3.5 million households in the Netherlands. Motive first worked with Casema and Multikabel in 2003 and 2004 respectively, and will now work to incorporate @Home to deliver a unified and comprehensive suite of E-care solutions, such as round-the-clock access to account information, online support for searchable product catalogues and ordering and checking status of products and services. The enlarged entity is the largest provider of digital cable services and products in the country serving 1.4 million broadband internet customers, 750,000 digital TV subscribers and 660,000 digital telephony customers.
