Vodafone launches HSUPA

4 Dec 2007

Vodafone Portugal has launched high speed uplink packet access (HSUPA) technology on its networks in Lisbon, offering upload speeds of up to 1.4Mbps, four times faster than the previous peak rate. The new speeds will be available to subscribers on the company’s Broadband Mobile 3.6Mbps and 7.2Mbps plans, with no changes to monthly fees, Telecompaper reports. The new technology will be extended to more than 50 cities in the first quarter of 2008.
