SLT ownership court case bumped to February

A court hearing against the sale of a 25.3% stake in Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) by Japan’s NTT to the parent of Malaysia’s Maxis Communications has been delayed until 25 February 2008. Sri Lanka’s Supreme Court halted the sale in September following complaints about a lack of transparency in the deal. The Sri Lankan government owns 49.5% of SLT.
