Ukrainian CDMA operators report steady 3Q growth

The total subscriber base of Ukraine’s CDMA network operators reached 363,813 at the end of September 2007, up from 204,000 at the beginning of the year. Telesystems (PEOPLEnet), which launched 3G CDMA2000 1xEV-DO services in February 2007, saw its mostly corporate subscriber base increase by 118% in the third quarter to 54,653 at the end of September 2007, whilst users of ITC (CDMA Ukraine) rose 19.7% to 96,129, and Velton Telecom’s CDMA user base increased 5.7% to 112,000. Intertelecom saw 35.1% customer growth in July-September to finish the quarter with 81,060 subscribers, and CST Invest reached 19,971 users, up by 34%.
