Smart to embark on residential broadband assault

19 Nov 2007

Smart Telecom is planning a major assault on the Irish broadband residential market, including the introduction of a twelve-month free broadband service on one of its leading products, the Irish Examiner writes. It is understood the company’s new ‘Christmas Bundle’ offer will be open to new and existing customers in the Republic and will include a one-year free broadband subscription as well as voice services from EUR10 (USD14.65) per month. The offer will be available until 31 December and will also include a 5% discount on international calls. Smart Telecom hopes to entice consumers to sign up to a service that has no download cap, offers faster connection speeds and allows them to retain their existing telephone number.
