InkMobile launches Fijian mobile phone service

14 Nov 2007

According to unconfirmed reports in The Fiji Times, a new mobile phone service is due to launch in Fiji today, in the shape of InkMobile Australia. The newcomer has reportedly teamed up with former monopoly operator Vodafone Fiji to lease spare capacity on its network to reach out to new customers. The mobile reseller is foregrounding a business model that will ask users to pay only for the actual number of seconds used instead of 30 second units. InkMobile has also signed up with a large local distribution company CJ Patel to act as its distribution partner in Fiji.
