eircom to offer free access to almost 1,100 Wi-Fi hotspots nationwide

According to a report from Finfacts, Irish incumbent fixed line operator eircom has announced it is offering all new and existing retail broadband customers free access to nearly 1,100 eircom Wi-Fi hotspots across the country. The group’s six-month promotion will enable users to sign up for a wireless subscription at http://www.eircom.ie/hotspot, giving them access to e-mails, files and the internet at more than 240 hotels, 121 restaurants, 270 pubs, six airports, 240 payphones and 50 entertainment and sports venues in the Republic.
