Mobilink deploys NSN Release 4 softswitch

12 Oct 2007

Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) has announced that cellco Mobilink has deployed its 3GPP compliant mobile softswitch. The Release 4 equipment allows Mobilink to reduce operating expenses, while accelerating the deployment of new services to its mobile subscribers. Mobilink worked closely with NSN to develop a turnkey solution, based on the MSC Server System, part of NSN’s Unified Core Network, which provides a common network architecture to support fixed mobile convergence and next generation access technologies, such as 3G, VoIP and WiMAX.
