Chinese equipment vendor ZTE has won a GSM network contract with Pakistani cellco CMPak, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Mobile. According to the terms of the deal ZTE will supply equipment for a network with capacity for ten million lines. ZTE will also provide its next-generation V3 base stations; the core network will be entirely based on IP technology.
