GTS Novera reports strong first half growth

28 Aug 2007

Czech alternative telco GTS Novera has reported revenues of CZK2.86 billion (USD140.2 million) in the first six months of 2007 and EBITDA of CZK459 million, up 35% year-on-year. Commenting on the results, GTS Novera’s Mr. Milan Rusnák said: ‘Our financial results in H1-2007 were as good as the financial results for 2006 so that we achieved the best operational profit ever. Despite a constant price reduction we believe that our total volume of revenues generated this year would be as high as in 2006. We assume an additional growth in terms of operational profit as well. As for 2008 we anticipate further increase in the volume of revenues generated within the corporate segment by value added services. We have also been preparing new products. Our plans, for the months to come, include converged services, too.’

In fiscal 2006 GTS Novera increased its revenues by 25% to nearly CZK6 billion and reported a 37% rise in EBITDA to almost CZK800 million. In 2006 the company completed the integration of competitive operators – namely Contactel, Telenor and Nextra. GTS Novera said it also achieved a ‘significant growth in terms of the operational profit’ despite the adverse affects of integrating the aforementioned operations.
