Telekom Austria confirms BH Telecom interest

24 Aug 2007

Telekom Austria has confirmed that is interested in acquiring a majority stake in Bosnia’s BH Telecom. The telco is expected to be privatised over the coming months. ‘BH Telecom is definitely a target for us,’ CEO Boris Nemsic told Reuters. Nemsic refused to put a possible price tag on the company saying ‘it would be bad for negotiations’. BH Telecom is currently owned by the government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (90%) and private shareholders (10%).
