Government looking at regulator split

A report from The Arab Times suggests that the Ministry of Communications (MoC) in Kuwait is in the process of setting up a separate telecoms regulator. The MoC currently acts as both the industry regulator and the monopoly wireline service provider. The split of its regulatory and operational functions will be discussed during the next National Assembly session, Arab Times says, quoting an unnamed official at the ministry.
