VIP Mobile launches service

10 Jul 2007

Serbia’s third mobile network operator, VIP Mobile, has launched commercial operations. The company will first activate the 50,000 SIM cards it sold in June, which offer a flat pre-paid tariff of 4.9 dinars per minute for national calls to either mobiles of fixed networks, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. SMS will cost 1.9 dinars. VIP Mobile, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mobilkom Austria, purchased its licence for EUR320 million in December last year.
