Ericsson wins Bangladeshi DSLAM contract

Broad Band Telecom Services (BBTS), an ISP based in Chittagong, Bangladesh, has selected Swedish technology vendor Ericsson for the supply, installation, commissioning and testing of its EDA 1200 IP-DSLAM broadband network equipment. The first installation phase is expected to be completed in August 2007. BBTS, part of the Ispahani Group, is aiming to support the rollout of new services that demand high bandwidth such as video applications.
