Teledata expands WiMAX deal

11 Jun 2007

Teledata de Mozambique has expanded its WiMAX contract with equipment supplier Redline Communications to cover two additional cities. Teledata’s original deal with the vendor saw it deploy a fixed wireless broadband network covering Maputo and Beira. The new agreement will see Redline supplying networks in Matola and Nampula. Redline is also providing its first self-install customer units. Teledata says it currently has around 800 businesses signed up to its WiMAX services, which were launched almost a year ago.
