TeliaSonera Finland gets HSDPA upgrade

31 May 2007

TeliaSonera has revealed that it has upgraded its 3G network with HSDPA technology in the province of Uusimaa and that the upgrade will be extended to the rest of the country during the summer. ‘At the first stage we provide our customers with maximum data transmission speeds of 1Mbps and 2Mbps. With the terminal devices currently available, this provides customers with an up to six times higher transmission rate than before. With technology upgrades, the customers can utilise even higher data transmission rates in the future,’ says Pasi Mehtonen, Director at TeliaSonera Mobility Services Finland.
