Telekom Malaysia sells 3.2% stake in Dialog

18 May 2007

Telekom Malaysia has sold a 3.2% stake in its Sri Lankan mobile subsidiary Dialog Telekom for an estimated price of around USD58 million, its International Chief Executive Officer Yusof Annuar Yaacob said yesterday. The sale is intended to increase liquidity in response to fund managers saying there were too few Dialog shares in the market. Following the sale, Dialog Telekom is approximately 85% owned by Telekom Malaysia; the company was listed in July 2005.
