Com Hem’s EBITDA up 14%

Sweden’s largest cable operator Com Hem has improved its first quarter EBITDA by 14% as it saw increased take-up of its triple-play services. EBITDA rose to SEK355 million (USD52 million)in 1Q 2007, compared to SEK311 million in the first quarter of 2006, on sales that rose 15% to SEK842 million. The number of customers subscribing to all three TV, internet and voice telephony services increased by 29,000 in the quarter to 110,000. In total 59,000 new customers were added to Com Hem’s network in Q1, and by the end of March it had 343,000 digital TV subscribers out of 1.78 million connected households.
