Class action lawsuit filed against Movistar

A Chilean court has accepted a class action lawsuit seeking damages of USD260 million against Telefónica-owned mobile operator Movistar for alleged service quality failures, according to BNamericas citing local press reports. Movistar told reporters that it sees no legal grounds for the lawsuit, and that its service surpasses the levels required by international standards and Chilean law.
