TeliaSonera launches HSPA trial

13 Apr 2007

TeliaSonera Sweden has launched a trial of 3.5G High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) mobile services under the Turbo 3G brand name. During the trial period, which runs until this autumn, customers in parts of Stockholm and Gothenburg can use Turbo 3G services at the same rates as the operator’s other mobile data services. According to the company’s press release, handset and laptop users in the trial area will be able to transmit data at speeds almost ten times faster than its 3G W-CDMA network.
