C&W performs further upgrades in Seychelles

3 Apr 2007

Cable & Wireless (C&W) Seychelles has announced the successful migration of its mobile customer base to a new ‘CIS’ billing system, aligning its systems with the C&W group globally. According to a company release, the island subsidiary now has a common billing and customer care platform for all of its services, providing various benefits such as lower operating costs, quicker customer service procedures, the possibility of merged fixed line and mobile bills in the coming months, fewer billing errors and improved control over billing processes. The billing system cost around SCR4.5 million (USD750,000). C&W Seychelles CEO Charles Hammond said: ‘This project is the second large project delivered within ten months. The first was the implementation of the new GPRS (3G-capable) mobile network from Nokia, which has already brought new and advanced services such as mobile internet and MMS to our customers.
