SkyLink launches CDMA/GSM handset

According to news agency Prime Tass, CDMA mobile operator SkyLink has launched sales of Russia’s first CDMA/GSM handset. The device, which can switch between CDMA-450 and GSM-900/1800 networks, has a recommended retail price of around USD600. SkyLink had around 440,000 users in 27 Russian regions at the end of 2006, including 194,000 customers in Moscow.
