Videotron reports annual expansion

22 Mar 2007

Canadian triple-play cable provider Videotron has posted revenues of CAD1.31 billion (USD1.13 billion) in 2006, up from CAD1.08 billion in 2005, with the increase primarily attributed to customer growth. The Quebec-based cableco generated annual operating income of CAD512.5 million, up by 24% on 2005, due mainly to higher revenues. Videotron signed up 154,000 net new cable modem internet users in 2006 to take its total to 810,000, and added 235,000 cable telephone subscribers to reach a total base of 398,000.
