CellularOne and Clarity sign PTT deal

21 Mar 2007

Mobile operator CellularOne Bermuda, a unit of Bermuda Digital Communications, has signed a multi-year licensing deal with Clarity Communication Systems enabling it to sell Clarity’s hosted push-to-talk (PTT) service. CellularOne Bermuda hopes the addition of PTT will drive new revenues and better utilise its CDMA 1x data network by using VoIP and SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) technology. The operator is using handsets supplied by Kyocera Wireless to support the rollout.
