Towerstream launches WiMAX network eight

15 Mar 2007

The US wireless ISP Towerstream has launched its eighth fixed WiMAX network, switching on services in central Miami. The firm has a single WiMAX base station in Miami, situated on the Four Season’s hotel, the city’s tallest building, and this is enough to offer wireless internet coverage to thousands of local businesses, it says. Towerstream also has WiMAX networks up and running in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston, San Francisco and Rhode Island.
