Japanese mobile start-up eMobile, a unit of broadband service provider eAccess, has begun accepting subscriptions to its new service – due to launch in Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto and Osaka on 31 March – marking the first new entrant in the Japanese wireless market in 13 years. The operator is taking subscriptions at 49 electronics retail outlets across the four cities where it will offer high speed data services and internet access ahead of the launch of a voice call service in spring 2008.
