Sale of Orange Netherlands seen attracting five bidders, paper says

According to a report in the Dutch newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad citing ‘well-informed financial sources’, the sale of France Télécom’s Dutch unit Orange Netherlands has attracted interest from five potential bidders. The interested parties are believed to include Deutsche Telekom’s T-Mobile unit, Liberty Global, which owns Dutch cable firm UPC, and a consortium comprising private equity group Warburg Pincus and Cinven, which owns Dutch cable companies Casema and Kabelcom. The other interested parties are said to be Vodafone and a consortium comprising Rabo Capital, Providence and Carlyle.
