Finnish wireless operators cut interconnection fees

20 Feb 2007

TeliaSonera, Elisa and DNA have reached agreement on cutting charges for interconnecting calls on their wireless networks. The trio of operators said they would cut their interconnection fees gradually and would all charge the same price by December 2009. Elisa’s interconnection fee will fall to EUR0.051 per minute in 2008 from EUR0.07 a minute now. TeliaSonera can charge EUR0.066 a minute until next year, when it will charge the same interconnection rate as Elisa.
