Arab Telecom goes for WiMAX

Kuwaiti telco Arab Telecom has awarded a WiMAX infrastructure contract to California-based vendor Aperto Networks. Arab Telecom plans to deploy a nationwide 3.5GHz wireless broadband network using Aperto’s PacketWave equipment, which will be used to offer high speed internet services to the country’s 2.2 million people.
