Max selects Navini for WiMAX roll out

18 Jan 2007

Bulgarian WiMAX licensee Max Telecom has selected Navini as supplier of mobile WiMAX 802.16e equipment for its planned national network. Max Telecom expects to launch services in the capital Sofia before the end of 1Q 2007 and hopes to expand nationally by the end of the year. It will offer services to both business and residential customers, with a portfolio that includes VOIP, high speed internet and video connectivity. Rather than event-driven pricing, Max Telecom plans to offer fixed price data subscriptions with VOIP bundled in as part of the price.
