Sonaecom plans to continue expansion

10 Jan 2007

Sonaecom has revealed that it plans to go on the hunt for another southern European phone operator if it is successful with its proposed takeover of Portugal Telecom. A report from AFX cites local newspaper Journal de Negocios, which claims that documents filed by Sonaecom with stock market regulator CMVM confirm that it is pushing to continue its expansion. Sonaecom says it is hoping to have eight million cellular subscribers outside Portugal within three years.
