O2 Ireland offers Napster over i-mode

13 Dec 2006

O2 Ireland yesterday launched Napster Mobile on 3G i-mode handsets – a first for a European mobile operator – via a managed services and hosting agreement with Ericsson of Sweden. The Napster Mobile service will enable O2 Ireland users to search, browse, preview and buy content from the content provider’s catalogue of over two million songs. O2 Ireland plans to extend the service to O2 Active users with non i-mode handsets by March 2007.
