3G calling for Seychelles

12 Dec 2006

Subscribers of Airtel Seychelles now have access to 3G mobile services following the commercial launch of W-CDMA-enabled handsets last Thursday. Video calling and faster internet browsing are among the services included in Airtel’s initial 3G offering, available to users in Victoria, along the east coast up to Beau Vallon. Airtel said that coverage will be extended to cover the entire country soon. The cellco has invested SCR35 million (USD6.5 million) in its 3G network upgrade.
