MTS 3G launch due before end of year

The wireless arm of Telekom Srbija, Mobile Telephony of Serbia (MTS), is expected to launch its 3G network to Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis before the end of the year. According to Ericsson, the company in charge of rolling out the W-CDMA infrastructure, Telekom Srbija’s adoption of 3G technology has been delayed by lack of regulation. The cellco first tested 3G services three years ago.
