Belgacom and Omantel strengthen ties

22 Nov 2006

Belgian and Omani incumbent operators Belgacom and Omantel have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop international carrier services within the Middle East, writes Forbes. The agreement will enable Belgacom International Carrier Services (ICS) to use Omantel’s networks to optimise its current connectivity in the Middle East and support its business growth. In addition, Omantel will enhance its sub-scaled bilateral voice relations in order to improve service for retail and wholesale customers signed up under a two-year old deal with the Belgian operator.
