Maroc Telecom 3Q profit up 22.4% year-on-year

Maroc Telecom said third quarter operating profit rose by 22.4% to MAD3.11 billion (USD360 million) compared to the same period a year earlier. Operating profit from its wireless division rose 32.7% to MAD2.135 billion, while the figure for its fixed line and internet operations rose a more modest 4.6% to MAD971 million. Revenues for the three months ended 30 September climbed 12.1% to MAD6.195 billion.

Maroc Telecom is owned 51% by French conglomerate Vivendi, which will report its third quarter results on Thursday.
