Mobilkom sole bidder for Serbian GSM license

6 Nov 2006

The Serbian Republic Telecommunications Agency (RATEL) has reportedly had just one bid for the country’s third GSM/3G licence. Mobilkom Austria, the wholly owned subsidiary of Telekom Austria, will now have to wait for its bid to be evaluated to assess whether it meets all conditions necessary for it to participate in the public bidding process. If it has, the public opening of the financial offer will be held tomorrow (7 November). The third wireless licence is valid for a ten-year period, and will be automatically extended for another ten years.
