Astelit reveals 3Q operating stats

The subscriber base of Ukrainian mobile operator Astelit reached 4.65 million at the end of September, up from 3.91 million three months earlier, according to a company press release. Astelit, which uses the brand name life:) is continuing to expand its network, which now covers 83% of the Ukrainian population.

According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database, Astelit was merged with its sister company Digital Cellular Communications (DCC) in August to create the Ukraine’s third largest mobile operator. Both companies are owned by Netherlands-based Eurasia Telecommunication Holdings, a joint venture of Turkey’s Turkcell and Ukrainian holding company System Capital Management.
