Bulgaria’s Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC) has fined the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC) BGL200,000 (USD129,000) for hindering competition in the fixed line market because of its pricing policies. The Bulgarian news agency BTA reports that the CPC examined the local and long-distance telephone calls market and found that BTC’s pricing policy was preventing alternative operators from competing effectively.
