TeliaSonera introduces new mobile data tariffs

10 Oct 2006

Mobile operator TeliaSonera Finland has introduced a new pricing format for mobile data services, and now offers time-based tariffs alongside capped data charges. The cellco now offers a basic charge for surfing without a monthly charge of EUR0.9 (USD1.13) per hour or a fraction of it. In addition, packages are available providing unlimited data transfer for five or ten 24-hour periods in a month for a fixed charge of either EUR17.9 or EUR29.9. The charge includes all data transfer in a period, regardless of the amount downloaded, number of connections or services used; extra days are charged at EUR 3.9 per 24-hour period. Discounts are available to users taking the packages for a fixed term.
