Dialog Telekom moves into TV

Sri Lankan cellco Dialog Telekom has acquired a licence for the usage of radio and television broadcasting frequencies by purchasing a 90% stake in Asset Media for LKR325 million (USD3.14 million). The concession could enable Dialog to launch a range of content services over platforms including digital terrestrial broadcasting, direct to home (DTH) and 3G mobile television.
