Celtel Nigeria to invest USD700 million

Following the rebranding of cellco V-Mobile as Celtel Nigeria, Dutch parent company Celtel International’s Chief Commercial Officer Mr Tito Alai has announced that USD700 million is to be invested immediately to improve the network with one thousand new base stations. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database, Celtel Nigeria has 5.5 million subscribers and ranks third in the country, behind MTN Nigeria and Globacom.
