Telenor’s priority vote on Kyivstar board resinstated

A Ukrainian appeals court has reinstated Telenor’s priority vote on the board of directors of the country’s mobile market leader Kyivstar, the Norwegian telco announced in a press release yesterday. The decision overturns a previous ruling that gave Ukraine’s Storm, part of Russia’s Alfa Group, equal voting rights with Telenor on the board. Kyivstar’s ownership is split between Telenor (56.51%) and Storm (43.49%).
