The Netherlands’ largest telecoms company KPN said Friday it had agreed a EUR255 million deal to purchase Tiscali’s Dutch internet access business. Amsterdam-based KPN said the deal includes the Italian-owned unit’s 276,000 broadband customers and 126,000 internet accounts, as well as its networks in the Netherlands. According to reports from Dow Jones, KPN hopes the purchase will deliver significant future synergies from the deal, although it declined to disclose how much it expects to save.
