DNA to up 3G coverage

Mobile operator DNA Finland, part of the Finnet Group, has revealed plans to expand its 3G network to cover 15 new cities by October, according to local News Agency STT. The cellco will launch W-CDMA services in Turku and Vaasa on 11 September, following which the network will be expanded to Kuopio, Hyvinkää, Hämeenlinna, Lohja, Oulu, Porvoo, Rauma, Kotka, Mikkeli, Salo, Pori, Jyväskylä, Kouvola-Kuusankoski and Hamina. DNA first launched 3G services in metropolitan Helsinki, Tampere and Lahti in December 2005.
