Smart, Exponential-e sign Ethernet connectivity deal

According to reports from Irish online news portal SiliconRepublic, one of the country’s alternative telecoms operators Smart Telecom has signed an agreement with network provider Exponential-e under which the pair will deliver reciprocal connectivity, support and maintenance. In a joint statement to the press the two companies said the tie-up would enable them to expand their optical Ethernet capabilities into each others’ markets. Exponential-e’s managed service is available nationwide in Ireland, while Smart Telecom customers have direct access to 73 cities on the UK mainland.
